About Me

Hello! I am so excited to continue with the team at Westlake High School for the 2025-2026 school year. This will be my 21th year in education, and Speech & Debate is my passion.

I graduated from Kaufman High School where I did pretty much every Speech & Debate event for all four years which earned me a full-ride to Kilgore College. While there I continued my Speech & Debate journey earning State Championships in Parliamentary Debate & Persuasive Speaking and National Bronze Medals in Parliamentary Debate & Program Oral Interpretation. I then graduated from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma for both my undergrad and graduate degrees.

Immediately after earning my M.Ed. I began my career as the Speech & Debate Coach at Lake Travis HS for 9 years then moved to Vista Ridge HS for another 2 years of teaching. At that point, I decided to try my hand in school administration and spent 7 years in that role. I cannot tell you how excited I am to be back in the classroom.

Outside of school, I am beyond proud of my amazing 20 year old who is attending Texas State University on a full-ride scholarship. I have two dogs: a Pit Bull and a Schnoodle. And my favorite pastimes are karaoke, reading, and writing.
