I loved Waco, and I used to think I wanted to live there forever...lol but I decided to make the move to Austin to try something new! I live about 15 minutes away from my older sister, her husband, their dog, Ellie, and their one-year old daughter, Amelia. Me with my niece 🥹 -->
They both graduated from The University of Texas in 2017 and have lived in Austin ever since. I visited them pretty often when I was a Baylor student and now I get to go bug them whenever I want 🤪! (Pic with them, my parents, and me on their wedding day)
My hobbies outside of school are singing, playing guitar, having an iced cappuccino at a coffee shop, going disc golfing with my fiance, and watching trash tv shows like The Bachelor/Bachelorette.
I'm a HUUUUUUUGEEEE swiftie and will most definitely talk about Taylor Swift every day. If you are a swiftie too please talk TS with me :)
I've had a wonderful four years here at Westlake and I'm really looking forward to what year FIVE holds. You'll quickly learn that I'm alllll about building strong relationships with my students. Math is important, yes, but I also strongly believe that the best learning takes place when you can feel comfortable in your learning environment and trust your teacher. I really, really care about all my kids and I am constantly thinking about how to connect and make everyone feel loved.
I love attending football games to see my kiddos in action with my players on the field, cheerleaders, technical entertainment crew, Hyline, and more. I made it to some basketball and soccer games and even brought Banjo to a baseball game or two. If I'm not at the game, I'm probably listening to the broadcast at home. I have free time and I am blown away by my students' talent and passion for what they love. Basically, if you invite me- I'll try to make it.
You can usually find me at school attached at the hip with Ms. Lindsey (she teaches Physics). We have a fun time together and love that we get to share so many of the same students. -->
I can't express how much I love teaching at Westlake High School and how passionate I am about teaching math. It's going to be a great year!

2025-2026 will be my fifth year teaching at Westlake HS!
I was born and raised in Baytown, Texas, and always enjoyed math as a subject growing up. After I had so many wonderful and supportive teachers in high school, I decided in my senior year that I wanted to be a math teacher. I went off to Baylor University (my dream school!!!) and graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education. I had an entire year of student teaching at Midway High School in Waco with Honors Algebra 2 and AP Calculus BC, and I was so glad to be hired as an Algebra 2 teacher at Westlake (it's the best math in my opinion)!
<-- This is my dog, Banjo! He is my best friend! He's mostly a blue heeler mixed with like 13 other breeds, and I adopted him in 2020 Covid Summer in Waco from the Humane Society. He loves to be outside and roll in stinky things. He is the perfect disc golf dog and loves to tag along with my fiance and me on any adventure.
<-- I got engaged this February to my wonderful fiance, Sam, and we are planning our wedding for June 2026! I talk about him a lot and he even comes to visit me at school sometimes during lunch. Sam plays professional Disc Golf so he is mostly practicing all day in some capacity. Banjo loves going with him and is the best companion to join him outside every day. By night, Sam is a private tutor and owns his own tutoring company. Let me know if you need help finding a tutor for any/all subjects!
I find myself spending a lot of time with my family and future family (🥹). They are so special to me and I can't believe I hit the jackpot with them all. Here's my parents and Sam's parents at our engagement party below.
