I hope you enjoy the year and find a greater appreciation for how the world around you works!
I earned my B.S. in Geology and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in Science Education, both from the University of Texas. After working for a few years as a geologist, focusing mainly on groundwater, I chose to follow my passion and begin a teaching career. I started at WHS in 1993, teaching physical science, geology, and chemistry. After my 2nd child, I took a 6 year hiatus in order to stay home with my kids. I am now in my 27th year here and there is no place that I would rather be! Both of my daughters have graduated from Westlake. One is a physical therapist in Florida and the other is a PhD candidate in chemical engineering at UC Santa Barbara.
I look forward to a great year!
