The students will spend one period per day in English. The focus of the class will be writing, reading a variety of genres, an analysis of literature, vocabulary, and a working knowledge of grammatical structures.

Students are expected to bring the following to class every day:

• Writer's Notebook

• A novel for independent reading

• Writing utensils

• Charged iPad and earbuds
