West Ridge Middle School National Junior Honor Society Executive Officer Positions
President - The President leads the organization by presiding over meetings, setting goals, and representing NJHS at school and community events. The President ensures projects run smoothly and motivates members to uphold NJHS values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.
Vice President - The Vice President supports The President and steps in when needed. The Vice President often oversees committees, helps coordinate events, and ensures members stay informed and involved. The Vice President must be prepared to stand in for the President as needed.
Secretary - The Secretary shall complete the duties of the Vice President in the case of the Vice President’s absence. The Secretary keeps accurate records of meetings, attendance, and organization activities. The Secretary manages official documents, takes meeting minutes, and handles organization communications.
Treasurer - The Treasurer manages chapter funds and financial records. The Treasurer tracks income and expenses, assists with budgeting for events, and reports financial updates to members and sponsors.
Historian - The Historian shall complete the duties of the Secretary in case of the Secretary’s absence. The Historian documents chapter activities through photos, videos, and written summaries. The Historian preserves NJHS memories and may help create presentations, bulletin boards, or end-of-year reports.
Parliamentarian - The Parliamentarian shall complete the duties of the Historian in case of the Historian’s absence. The Parliamentarian ensures meetings follow proper procedures and the organization constitution. The Parliamentarian helps maintain order and fairness during discussions and voting.
Community Outreach Delegate - The Community Outreach Delegate shall complete the duties of the Parliamentarian in case of the Parliamentarian’s absence. The Community Outreach Delegate builds and strengthens connections within the school community to expand service opportunities for the organization. The Community Outreach Delegate coordinates with students, teachers, staff, administration, and other school groups to organize volunteer efforts and ensure NJHS projects positively impact the school.
