About Me

Hey Y'all! I'm Monroe Person I am originally from San Antonio, TX and I have just moved to Austin to be a part of the Eanes fam! 

Growing up I loved to dance and was even on my high school varsity dance team. I have always had a passion for learning about Science and was part of the high school's environmental club too. 

I attended college at the University of Texas at San Antonio where I got a B.S. in Environmental Science and Ecology. One of my favorite mems from that time was a three week field biology course where 20 other students and myself along with a few professors camped our way across West Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona studying desert ecology.

After graduating I spent a year in Port Aransas, TX where I was a research assistant monitoring seagrass along the Texas coast as well as trends within the Nueces marsh.

I am beyond thrilled to now be here at West Ridge teaching 6th grade Science! I can't wait to meet you!
