The AP Spanish Literature and Culture course is designed to provide students with a learning experience equivalent to that of a college/university survey course in literature written in Spanish. This thematically based course introduces students to the formal study of a representative body of texts from Peninsular Spanish, Latin American, and U.S. Hispanic literature, including short stories, novels, poetry, drama, and essays, ranging from the Medieval period to the present.

Westlake High School utilizes the Google Classroom platform to share classroom resources, many assignments, and assessment preparation materials to students. WHS students will receive a classroom code to access these materials, submit assignments, and track any missing work.
WORLD LANGUAGES MAJOR GRADE ASSESSMENT POLICY
● Students are allowed 1 opportunity for retesting per grading period, in accordance with their teacher’s guidelines for the retesting format and process.
● The highest possible grade students may earn on a retest is a 70.
● Students have 5 school days from when the grade is issued/posted to initiate the retesting process.
● It is the student's responsibility to initiate retesting with their teacher and complete that process within the time frame set by the teacher.
● Any bonus opportunities before or on the test day, if offered, would be consistent in value for all students of the same language and level. This option is at the discretion of the language and level instructional teams.
