Psychology

This course is an introduction and general overview of psychology; the scientific study of mental processes and behaviors. Students will study research methods used in psychology, the history of the field, and other units such as the states of consciousness, conditioning, learning and memory, developmental psychology, and abnormal psychology. Students will use a textbook as well as related articles, films and other media that illustrate these concepts.
