MAPS (Methodologies for Academic & Personal Success) MAPS is a one semester course offered to 7th & 8th grade students that focuses on the skills necessary for students to be successful. Essential knowledge and skills include:

2.) Charged iPad and earbuds/headphones

5.) Books, writing papers, drawing tools, etc.
Weekly Schedule
Management Monday: AGENDA CHECK. Students are expected to post all activities for the week on their calendar. (Extra-curricular activities, out of town trips, appointments, etc.) Check the Testing Calendar & post any upcoming test on your calendar.
Topic Tuesday: STUDY SKILL SPECIFIC TOPIC. Short “Mini” Lessons at the beginning of class. Plan accordingly.
Wellness Wednesday: Students will participate in a mini mindfulness lesson.
Think Through Thursday: SUBMIT 3 COMPLETED ASSIGNMENTS selected by the teacher. Students will work to finish up assignments for this week and begin working on assignments due at the beginning of next week.
Fast Forward Friday: GRADE CHECK. Students will check Skyward Gradebook. Students will reflect on the Weekly Grades and resolve any outstanding work. Check the Testing Calendar & post any upcoming test on your calendar.
Daily Expectations: CLASS ROUTINE IS A MUST!
Be ready for class when the bell rings
Have all necessary supplies including charged iPad
Participate and complete daily class assignments within time schedule
Update your agenda daily
Use your time wisely - when MAPS assignment is complete, you may work on other classes' assignment or read a book; NO game play, watching non-school related videos, etc. iPads are for school work only.
Have homework ready to check (you are actively working on it and it aligns with your agenda)
Respect others and help us build a positive learning environment
