This course is designed to meet the needs of students who will be continuing their study of Honors level of mathematics through four years of high school and then into college. Techniques and procedures of problem solving are stressed with emphasis on the understanding of concepts and “how” students arrive at their solutions. Students may have to "gear-up" to a new level of study since a new topic will be covered each day.
Pencils/stylus - think, don't ink. Mistakes are ok and they are far easier to fix with an eraser or on an iPad.
3-ring binder with paper/notebook - to take notes almost daily, write down your work for homework and assessment
Dividers (optional) - this will help you keep organized throughout the year
Charged iPad - we will be using this every day. Presentations will be available on your iPad. Desmos will be referenced often. Collaboration will be much easier with your own iPad every day.
TI-84 - WRMS students in Algebra 1 and above must have their own graphing calculator. You can find it here.
Graph paper - This will not be used as often, but when we do, we use it a lot. (can also be accessed on iPad)
