About Me:

I am ecstatic to be joining the wonderful Forest Trail community as your School Counselor! I am a Texas native who grew up in Keller, Texas before moving to Austin, where I received both my undergraduate and my graduate degree from the University of Texas (hook em!). After completing my studies in Educational Psychology, I began my teaching career in Lake Travis ISD as a Kindergarten teacher. It was there I continued to develop my passion for the social and emotional development of children, and providing them a safe space to learn and grow. I taught in Lake Travis for 7 years before transitioning to Austin ISD, where I then taught 1st Grade. My drive to provide support to ALL students, and foster their personal and social development as well as their academic success, led me to Forest Trail. I am so excited to begin my career as a school counselor as a part of such an outstanding community. In my spare time, I enjoy trying new restaurants, going to concerts and music festivals, and relaxing with my friends and family. It’s going to be a wonderful year at Forest Trail!

While not at work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family - relaxing at home, going to the pool, or trying new restaurants! My hobby is live music, and I go to as many concerts and music festivals as possible throughout the year.
