• Understand that before we can engage students academically, we must make sure that their needs according to Maslow’s hierarchy are met.

• Discuss and share ideas to meet students physiological, safety, belonging, esteem, and self-actualization needs in a virtual environment.

• Share engagement strategies for use in virtual learning.

Secondary:

• Discuss and develop engagement strategies to use in remote learning.

• Develop an understanding of considerations needed for students in remote learning.
