Welcome Wildcats Scholars! My name is Elizabeth Loera (you pronounce it like "low-era") and I am so excited to be here at West Ridge. I am looking forward to a fabulous school year. I lived near the Y-in Oak Hill for all of my childhood. After I graduated from James Bowie High School, I went to Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos before it was named Texas State. I graduated with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Mathematics. 

This year will be my 24th year of teaching, 20th in Middle school., and 3rd year here.  I started at Spring ISD (outside of Houston) for 5 years, Pflugerville ISD for 4 years, and Austin ISD for 12 years. Even though I am new-ish to the school, I am very familiar with the area. I live about 10 miles from the school and will probably see a few of you out and about. If you see me out, please say hello.

I am married to a retired firefighter, Richard.  Together we have a blended family of 3 kids, Gracelyn (27), William (24, and Anastacia (21).  We live on the Perdelanes River about 2 miles before it turns into  Lake Travis where we like to enjoy time outside fishing, hiking, and kayaking.
