Speech, Assistive Technology and Early Childhood Services with Ms Szymczak

I'm Denise Szymczak, MA,CCC-SLP, and I'm a speech-language pathologist here at Eanes ISD.  You can reach me at  Dszymczak@eanesisd.net. I work  district-wide with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)  and other kinds of assistive technology,  at Eanes Elementary I do diagnostics and treatment for Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), that's kids who are pre-kinder aged 3-5. I went to UT-Austin for my undergraduate work and Northwestern University for graduate school. I started working as an SLP in October of 1995 and  since then, I've worked in the Chicago Public Schools, Easter Seals- Early Childhood Intervention, Texas Neurorehab Center,  San Marcos CISD, and now I'm glad to be here in Eanes ISD. This will be my 15th year in EISD and my 9th at Eanes Elementary.  This my second full year as Assistive Technology Coordinator.

I use this website to share information about ways we can work on communication skills, and to record the activities and materials we use with students. I also keep a lot of content and links at my site, Speech Highway.   

Sharing pictures is a great way to  express yourself and find out about  other people. I've made these slideshows so we can start to get to know each other. If I get to work with you and your family, I would love to see pictures from your life.
