About Me

Hello Westlake High School! My name is Courtney Wessel and this will be my fifth year teaching English, and second year at this incredible school. 

I’m a proud Arizona State University grad with a BA in Secondary Education-English and a minor in Political Science. Go Sun Devils!

When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me lounging with a good book, piecing together a jigsaw puzzle, listening to live music around Austin, or playing with my fur baby Milo. 

Looking forward to a fantastic year ahead filled with meaningful relationships, lively discussions, and a whole lot of reading and writing. I can’t wait to embark on this journey with you all!
