About Me

I grew up in Houston, surrounded by people of many different cultures. I had a natural fascination about the lives of the people I grew up around, but in particular, I learned to love the Spanish language and Spanish-speaking cultures from my mother, who was also a Spanish teacher.

I've had many experiences abroad, including in Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Spain. It is my pleasure to introduce my students to the language and culture of these places.

I graduated from Southwestern University with a BA in Spanish and English, and received my masters from the University of Texas at Austin in Foreign Language Education. My wife and I have lived in Austin for a while and together we enjoy the opportunities here to do things outdoors and to learn social dances such as swing, salsa, and tango.
