About Me

Hi there. In addition to teaching Health, I also coach some PE classes.  I coached the Westlake High School swim team for my first six years with the district winning a couple of state championships along the way. Growing up sports were a huge part of my life. I played basketball, football, baseball, soccer, and swimming.  After a short stint in the medical and life insurance field while in college, I decided to go back to doing what I loved and find a way to be around sports. I changed my major to Sport Science with a minor in Education. I received my masters degree in Athletic Administration.  I have been teaching either physical education or health and coaching high school swimming for over 16 years now.  I try to model being active and fit for my health and physical education students.  My favorite activities include playing basketball, tennis, golf, hiking, and swimming across random bodies of open water.
