Classroom Activities and Participation (20% of your grade):
It is important to actively participate in classroom activities. That makes consistent attendance important as well.
Active participation does not include being on your phone while we are engaged in an activity.
Discussions are an important part of this class. Come to class with an open mind and be 100% present…thanks.
Projects = 20% of your grade:
Current Events Collection – looking at economic related events around the world
Shark Tank Project : present your business plan or product to the Shark Tank for
investment consideration
The Stock Market Project: we will learn how the stock market works by creating a “phantom folio”.
The Material World Project: A look at how people around the world live and work in their respective economic systems.
Chapter Reviews = 20% of your grade
Each chapter earns up to 100 points.
All Chapter reviews are posted on Google Classroom and printed copies are available in class.

Renting an Apartment Buying a car Taxes
Final Exam = 20% of your semester grade (If you exempt the final I will use your highest grade from the listed components as your final exam grade).
