This year in 7th-grade Texas History we will learn about Texas' early beginnings. Students will explore the diverse cultures of Texas, the development of its government, and its unique heritage. The course will also emphasize the impact of geographical factors, economic changes, and social developments of the state's history. Throughout the school year we will embark upon a variety of topics which will include the geography of Texas, European Exploration & Colonization, the Texas Revolution, the Republic of Texas, the Lone Star State, Civil War & Reconstruction, Cotton, Cattle, Oil and Railroads, the Close of the Frontier, the 20th Century, and Texas Government & Politics.
A paper copy of my class syllabus will be handed out to the students the first day/week of school.

Bring a charged Charged ipad everyday to class, a 1.5 inch 3 ring hard cover binder, color pencils, glue-stick, school appropriate scissors and something to write with, preferably a pencil and blue or black ink pens.
