About Me

Hello! My name is Craig Dennis and I love teaching Social Studies! While this will be my first teaching in Eanes I.S.D. at West Ridge Middle School, I have been teaching Social Studies for 15 years. I am certified in Social Studies Grades 6 through 12. 

Prior to teaching, I have had many jobs that have helped me become the teacher and person that I am today. I am a proud Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps during which time, I served in the Persian Gulf War and had 3 tours in Somalia, also serving as a United Nations Peacekeeper. After leaving the military, my work history also included more government service, both for the State of Texas and the Federal government.  

From 2004 to 2007, I was a member of the United States Secret Service, during which time I had several intriguing assignments. I was truly blessed to have served on Former First Lady of the United States, Lady Bird Johnson's Protective Detail and was also assigned to former President of the United States, Bill Clinton's Protective Detail, for a period, as well. 

Throughout my various life experiences, I have met people from all walks of life and from all over the world.  My personal experiences have helped me foster the love Social Studies that I have today. Now, I'm ready to bring my knowledge and passion for Social Studies to the students of Eanes I.S.D.  I look forward to getting to know you and to having a great 2025-2026 school year!
