Welcome Eagles to Third Grade!
I am so excited to be joining the Third Grade team again this year! This is my second year teaching at Cedar Creek. My husband Ed and I have lived in the Westlake area for over twelve years and have three grown boys who all attended Eanes schools - we love the Eanes ISD!
I graduated with a Biology degree from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. Go Roos! Then, I received my Master’s of Science degree in Child Development and Early Childhood disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas. For twenty plus years I have worked in some form or fashion with children and families across many settings - pediatric healthcare, private and low income classrooms and mentoring/tutoring. After subbing for two years, I decided to jump into teaching and have enjoyed all the opportunities to inspire our young learners!
Outside of school, I enjoy walking my golden retriever Poppy, playing Mah Jongg, traveling and creating mixed media art. The students will also learn that I love a good pun or joke as well as their sharing their family stories and adventures! I count it all joy to be building a strong classroom community with your students this year - where we will build curious life long learners in our Cacti Classroom!
