8th Grade U. S. History covers the period from our earliest Native American beginnings through Reconstruction. Throughout the course, students will focus on the political, economic, and social development of the United States as a nation. They will examine the contributions of individuals as well as various cultural and minority groups to the development of the United States. Through discussion and analysis of important historic documents, students will gain an understanding of the democratic process and their civil responsibilities within this process.
