Bluebonnet Books (4th/5th Grade)

Each year, the Texas Library Association promotes a list of twenty books of various formats. These books are geared toward third through fifth graders and include picture books, nonfiction books, and chapter books. Throughout the year in the BCE library, fourth and fifth grade students are exposed to these books through read alouds, book trailers, and book talks. In late January, students have an opportunity to vote on their favorite book along with other kids all over Texas. The winner is typically announced in April.
