Hi BCE Family-

I am so excited to journey with you this year! This will be my first FULL year as the School Based Therapist having started mid-way through last school year. My schedule has also changed to full-time and I couldn't be more happy and privileged to be on campus every day getting to know all of our students, families, teachers and staff even more! 

I've lived in Austin for 24 years (wow!) since starting school at UT Austin. There I earned a bachelors in Sociology and then a masters in Social Work - Go Horns! I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and have worked in both the clinical as well as the administration aspects of social work and also helped run a marketing agency with my husband. 

Our family includes my husband, John, kids Jordan (14), Jill (11), and Jojo (8), and our Goldendoodle, Lucy! Together we love pizza movie nights, playing games, a good season of Survivor, and cheering each other on through life's ups and downs. In my free time, you'll catch me listening to a good audiobook or podcast, walking my dog, and driving kids around to all the places.

Kids have a lot on their plates these days, don't they? In my role here at BCE, I love playing a small part in helping our students learn about themselves, new ways to cope with challenges, and equipping them to thrive as they take on life's adventures. And in every interaction, I want kids to know, deep down inside, the sentiment spoken by one of my all-time heroes, Fred Rogers:

“You've made this day a special day, just by being you. There's no person in the whole world like you, and I like you just the way you are."
