Reading by Design is a systematic, explicit, and intensive reading program designed to improve student reading abilities. The components of the program are based on the lastest research and best evidence-based practices in reading instruction. Lessons incorporate a multi-sensory approach that benefits visual, kinesthetic, and auditory learning styles. Intervention is designed to be intensive, explicit, and cumulative to effectively support reading and writing skills. Lesson components address the following skills: phonological awareness, sound-symbol association, syllabication, orthography, morphology, syntax, reading comprehension, and reading fluency.
