Latin Club

WHS has a very active Latin Club.  The dues this year are $65.00 and will cover a club t-shirt, membership in the local JCL chapter, the Texas State JCL, and the National JCL, as well as the cost of the National Latin Exam administered in March, and the cost of membership in National Latin Honor Society for qualifying students.  

Latin Club gives students an opportunity to lead as well as participate in various activities such as: a Latin Club banquet, a Blazer Tag tournament, the Area F competition (February 20 - 21 at Westlake High School), State Convention at O'Connor HS in April 17-18, National Convention in July 20-25, Indiana University, Bloomington), Certamen, and any other activity students may want to try out (within reason). Although every Latin student is encouraged to join Latin Club and participate in the extracurricular activities of the Junior Classical League, membership is voluntary.

If you have information you would like made available to the public (i.e. a slidedeck presentation), post it here. Please be sure anything you post publicly is not in violation of copyright laws--worksheets from publishers, images on slides protected by copyright and/or not cited.
