Latin Club

Course Overview

Latin Club

WHS has a very active Latin Club.  The dues this year are $50.00 and will cover a club t-shirt, membership in the local JCL chapter, the Texas State JCL, and the National JCL, as well as the cost of the National Latin Exam administered in March, and the cost of membership in National Latin Honor Society for qualifying students.

Latin Club gives students an opportunity to lead as well as participate in various activities such as: a Latin Club banquet, a Blazer Tag tournament, the Area F competition (February 23-24 at Westlake High School!), State Convention (April 5-6 at Anderson High School in San Antonio), National Convention (July 22-27, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee), Certamen, and any other activities students may want to try out (within reason). Every Latin student is highly encouraged to join the Latin Club and participate in the extracurricular activities of the Junior Classical League, but membership is voluntary.

Google Classroom

Westlake High School Latin Club utilizes the Google Classroom  platform to share news and updates to students. (Join Code: 6mzg7og)
