About Us

Elevate Academy of Martial Arts was created from of a love for Taekwondo. Founded in 2023, we are carrying on the mantle of providing practical self defense for people of all ages in Georgetown, Kentucky. Skills that can be taught to preschoolers can be refined through our senior years.

Mr. Bethards and the Freels have formed a dedicated partnership aimed at inspiring both children and adults to to "do their best" in everything they pursue.

Mr. Stephen Bethards

A 5th Degree Black Belt, Master Apprentice (MA)

Level 3 TAC Krav Maga Certified Instructor

Mr. Bethards began his Taekwondo journey in 2011 after finishing his military career.

2024 GTMA Global Champion in Combat Sparring.

Ms. Alison Freels

Owner & Instructor

2nd Degree Black Belt

Global Traditional Martial Arts (GTMA) Trainee Instructor

Level 1 TAC Krav Maga Certified Instructor

Ms. Alison started Taekwondo to "try something hard" in 2019 and fell in love with the program.

Determined not to miss out, Mr. Kyle began his Taekwondo journey in 2023, joining the EAMA family.
