AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a nationwide educational program designed to close the achievement gap and prepare students for college and career readiness. It equips students with the organizational, study, and critical-thinking skills needed to succeed in rigorous, advanced coursework.

AVID Secondary is a comprehensive program for grades 6–12 that bridges the gap between students’ aspirations and their readiness for college and careers. At its core is the AVID Elective, a daily class that builds academic skills, college and career knowledge, and student agency.
