Topic: Learning how to code in HTML. Students will learn the basics of HTML and how to create their very own website.

Bio: Siobahn received her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Winston-Salem State University in 2005. In 2009 she obtained her master’s degree in Information Science from North Carolina Central University, and in 2018 Siobahn made history by becoming the first woman to graduate with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

She is an Assistant Professor of Information Science/Systems in the School of Library and Information Science at North Carolina Central University, an AAAS IF/THEN Ambassador and a BlackcomputeHER Fellow. Before this, she served as a Lecturer at several colleges and universities where she taught an array of courses in Computer Science.

Outside of the classroom, she participates in many outreach activities to broaden participation in computing. She serves as a volunteer for various organizations, including Boy Scouts of America, FIRST North Carolina, Girl Scouts of America, and Black Girls Code. As a volunteer, she able to introduce Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics skills to students.
