Ask The Teacher!
Parents ask, "Why should I get involved with my child's school?" I am so glad you asked!
Many studies have shown that when parents are involved in their child's school life, the child does better in school. A recent study published in the Journal of Education Review, found that helping with homework, joining in school activities, and talking to teachers are all ways parents can get involved. Kids whose parents are interested in their education tend to get better grades, attend school more, and take part in advanced classes. When parents are more involved, kids also feel more motivated and have a better attitude toward school. Even if there are family or money problems, parental involvement can help protect kids from those challenges. When parents work to help with their child’s education, it can have a positive and lasting impact on the child’s success in school and life (Utami, 2020).
