In 2004, a good friend of mine from Idaho Falls, Idaho set out to find a project to which he could devote his wealth and his life. He discovered Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique, Africa, and knew it was his destiny to restore the park and its surrounding communities after decades of civil war. Since then, his project has restored thousands of plants and animals to the park, built community centers, schools, medical centers, research facilities and more. His work has been featured by 60-Minutes, National Geographic, and many other organizations.
