Break Up with Nic/Be Nic Free Campaign
Who: Local ECS middle and high school students
Mission: To promote awareness of cessation resources for youth, encourage cessation through incentives when young people pledge to be "nicotine free" or dispose of their vapes, liquids, cigarettes, chew, and other tobacco products at any take back site: Avon Rec Center, Minturn Fitness, Edwards Fieldhouse, Eagle Ice Rink and Gypsum Rec, as well as Colorado Mountain Medical clinics in Vail, Avon, & Eagle
Students who participate in one or both of the campaign efforts, take back and/or pledge, will be entered into a weekly drawing for swag. If a student decides to properly dispose of their nicotine products/devices at a take back site, they will receive an on the spot incentive and will be entered into the drawing for swag! All avenues will provide cessation resources to students as well.
Drawings: First takeback drawing Feb. 24th, then subsequent Mondays for the prior week.
Date of Campaign: Feb 10th through March 18th (National Kick Butts Day)
There will be no consequence to the student for turning in their devices/products or pledging at the take back locations. Please remember ALL ECS campuses are Drug Free, including nicotine products.
