The Eagan Clay Target Team is a clay target shooting club that prioritizes safety, fun and marksmanship. We believe that the safe and responsible handling of firearms is the priority. We are a team that is passionate about giving students an opportunity to be a part of a sports team that may not be a traditional type of middle/high school sport, but is still focused on both team and individual performances.
Our team is an extracurricular co-ed and adaptive activity for students in grades 6th - 12th that have an equal opportunity to participate - regardless of skill or experience. All scores contribute to the overall team score. Athletes shoot 50 rounds once a week. Parents are encouraged to watch the competition, but may also drop their student off and pick them up. Our team will shoot through mild rain and snow. Students should always have appropriate clothes/attire for the weather. We will not be on the range when lightning is present.
Our team is made up of student athletes from Dakota Hills Middle School, Black Hawk Middle School, Eagan High School, multiple online schools, or are homeschooled. Our high school athletes can earn varsity letters from EHS and all athletes can earn local, state or national awards. We have both a fall and spring season and are affiliated with the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League. Send any questions about the team or how to register to: info@eaganclaytargetteam.com
We participate as a team in the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League (MSHSCTL) http://mnclaytarget.com/ .
