22-year-old Zandra A. Cunningham, is an entrepreneur, author, speaker and consultant who revolutionized the skincare world. Starting from a simple "no" from her dad when she was nine, Zandra has been recognized by Entrepreneur magazine as one of America's youngest millionaires. Her plant-based skincare line can now be found on the shelves of major retailers such as Target, and her mission is to empower girls and women across the country through STEAM education and entrepreneurship.
Ninety-one students representing four local school districts participated in poster presentations. The poster presentation is the capstone project for students in CSETI (Consortium for Student Empowerment Through Innovation). Through this program students are encouraged to pursue their passions and research a topic of their choosing. Beyond a typical research project students are challenged to examine how they can use their skills and voice to make an impact on the topic whether it be environmentalism, sports, arts or a variety of others. During the IMPACT Expo students table alongside their posters and teach each other about their projects.
45- minute student-led sessions allowed attendees to dive deeper into IMPACT related topics. Through leadership, innovation and public speaking students developed the skills they needed to impact information in an interactive and engaging way.
