Training Scheduling Process ๐
๐For detailed information about our training process, please click here
Trainings can be requested by BOCES trainers or scheduled by the vendor in advance
We try to schedule trainings at least two weeks out, and the date is determined by working with both the vendor and/or the requesting BOCES staff
The length of a training is dependent on the product and trainer familiarity
All trainings do not need to be the same -- many vendors schedule a variety of trainings based on the complexity of their platform, trainer/district needs, time of year, new releases, etc.
The training description and registration link are both generated/managed by the vendor -- once those are created, they will be shared out statewide with a consortium listserv (if you are hosting the session virtually)
Requiring a training registration is the only way to know in advance who plans to attend a training session
After a training concludes, all resources, materials, and recordings should be shared back with the training coordinator
Lunch-and-Learns ๐
๐For detailed information about lunch-and-learns, please click here
"Lunch-and-Learns" refer to informational sessions that vendors host to promote their product(s) to the consortium and school districts
These sessions are typically recommended for vendors who have recently been awarded a contract or to vendors who have added new products to an existing contract
Unlike trainings, these are open to district personnel in addition to BOCES/RIC staff
Can be held virtually to target larger, statewide audience, or in-person to target areas of saturated interest
Are often hosted during a typical lunch time when district employees may have a break in their school day
Contractual Obligations ๐
๐To view Section 8 of your contract, please click here
Vendor provides training, at no cost, to participating BOCES so that they are able to turn key and train school districts
All training accounts should be fully active within the system
Four initial and four additional update training sessions per product (on an as-needed basis)
Trainers are provided access to vendor training materials and resources
