Ceramics

This a is a list of items that you will want to gather and bring to the art room. Each item that is yours should have your name or initials labeled on it somewhere. BOLDED items are a MUST!

• Sketchbook or Notebook

• Drawing and sketching utensils

• Plastic grocery bag or SMALL trash can liner for covering clay

• Plastic wrap (Saran wrap type)

• Some aprons are available, but in the past, kids have brought BIG SWEATPANTS to go over their school clothes.

• Plastic Tub (at least 6 inches deep) for storing wet clay.

• Plastic Ice Cream Bucket for water.

• Any odd tool or thing you might have lying around that can be used to create textures.

  • Pasta, grasses, leaves, cords, buttons, nuts and bolts, combs, burlap, doilies, lace...etc.

  • Balloons, cardboard tubes… etc.

• Storage Tackle box or plastic Tote that can be closed. You will want to care for a select set of tools

• Anything that you can think of that might be useful, you are welcome to bring in. YOU are responsible for it’s safe and out-of-the-way storage, however.
