In my art, I like to draw meaningful things to me or things that I am close to. In the piece, the medium I used was graphite pencil. My piece is a drawing of me and Laney. The reason I drew this is because I wanted to draw something that is meaningful to me. I have learned many things while drawing this piece. Some of the things that I have learned while drawing this piece is how to draw eyes and how to draw hair. Some of the elements and principles that I focused on were balance, texture, value, shape, and line. Overall I personally feel that I did really well and learned a lot along the way of doing this piece.

There are lots of reasons why I made this art piece, one big one is because I drew a picture of someone that means something to me. It takes lots of time to do stippling, and the darker you need to make it the longer it takes, while doing this piece, I learned how to make stuff look like the right value without covering the whole entire spot, instead I just added more dots to whatever spot needed to be darker. If I had to do this piece all over again I would definitely value my time.

I made a graphite pencil drawing and I named it wedding day. The connection that I have with this piece of art is that the people in this drawing are my aunt, uncle, and cousin. They had just moved in with us for a little bit, but they will be moving out for Christmas.I tend to do drawings that have things or people that mean a lot to me. I personally feel that this drawing was so big that i got very sick of it but if I had the same mindset that I had at the beginning of the drawing I definitely would have been done earlier than I was.

I made a colored pencil drawing and I am naming it coop. There are many reasons why I drew this, one is the overall personal connection that I have and its that my mom got this dog to originally be a therapy dog, but he is also to help me with my anxiety. Its took lots of patience to do this drawing, such as trying to find the right color for the right spot was very difficult and time-consuming. During this drawing, I focused a lot on the color and value of things. I feel that this piece turned out really well for it being my first ever pencil drawing.

In this piece of art, I tried to go out of my comfort zone and use watercolor, and I am naming it San Francisco. There are many things that I like while doing the piece, such as it being my first time using watercolor, and learning how to do the shadows. The thing that inspired me most to do this piece of art was the bright colors and wanting to try something new. If I were to create this piece again I would definitely ask how to do more things and actually learn how to make colors etc. During this artwork, I learned that it is okay to go out of my comfort zone and try something new.

Lately, I have been trying to go out of my comfort zone and do different things that I have never done. In this piece I used the wheel and clay to create it. There are many things that where new while doing the piece, such as learning how to use the wheel, and learning how to sculpt it the way I want. The thing that inspired me most to do this piece of art was the bright colors and wanting to contrast them and to try something new. During my last few pieces of art I have learned that I should go out of my comfort zone and try to do more things.

I made a turtle out of wire, plaster cloth, CelluClay, and acrylic paint and I am naming it tiny turtle. The connection that I have with this piece of art is that when I went to Florida I got a really tiny turtle that looks just like this one. The thing that inspired me was my trip to Florida and already having a really tiny turtle that I wanted to make bigger. I used CelluClay to create the texture of the shell and the bottom of the turtle. I personally feel that I am not very good at doing projects like this because I am not good at working with stuff like this. I am starting to do things out of my comfort zone.

I made a piece that my grandma wanted me to do. I let her find a picture and I said I would draw it for her. I liked trying to blend things and see if I liked working with the darker shades of pink or the lighter. I definitely liked using the darker ones. I chose to do a weird-shaped paper where it is really long and short on the sides because I have never done something like that. This was the second piece that I have done using colored pencils and I am starting to like to do colored pencils a lot more than I thought I would. It's a lot harder to find the right shade and you can just mix them together to make the color you want you have to layer them, and I really like to do that.

I used acrylic paint to create my painting of me and my best friends, and I am calling it REB. I am calling it REB because it is the first initial of each of our names put together. We have gotten really close and have created a bond that not many people can understand. The reason why I made this is because they are my best friends and I couldn’t live without them. They have been through a lot of things with me. We are each other's people. I decided to make this for many reasons, but one reason is that they are always going to be there for me!

I made a stippling drawing and I am naming it Mads. There are many reasons why I drew this, but one is the personal connection that I have with her, and because we have grown up together. It took lots of patience to do this drawing, such as trying to figure out how many dots to put in one spot to make it darker or lighter. It takes lots of time to do stippling, and the darker you need to make it the longer it takes while doing this piece. During this drawing, I focused a lot on how dark or light actually makes things. I feel that this piece turned out really well for this only being my second stippling drawing.

I sculpted three cows, and I am naming it 3COWS. At first, I was going to make polar bears. There are absolutely no connections with this piece, but I just wanted to make these. It took lots of patience to sculpt this, trying to figure out when to bend it was the one thing that I really struggled with. It takes a lot of patience to work with clay, and I personally do not think I am very good at it. During this piece, I focused a lot on making the heads of the cows. I feel that this piece turned out really well for this only being my second clay project.

I painted this picture of the six of us girls, and I am naming it Vaca. There are many connections that I have with these girls in this picture. It took lots of patience to do this drawing, such as trying to figure how to make the color of each thing in this drawing. It takes lots of patience to do watercolor. During this drawing, I focused a lot on the bodies and tried to make them look real. I personally feel that I did really well on this piece, especially for it being people and my second watercolor drawing ever.

I created a piece using graphite and I am naming it Uncle : Brother : Father : Son, and it has probably been one of my favorite drawings I have ever done. The reason I created this piece was to give this to my mother. There are many emotions behind this picture, and that is the other reason I chose to draw this picture. This is my uncle, and he meant a lot to me. My mom and he were extremely close, so I decided to draw this for her. He was a big part of me growing up and I tend to draw things that I am close with. Personally, I feel that I did really well on this piece, I started this piece over Christmas break which allowed me to have more time on it and to work on it when I wanted to, which I Think made this piece better in the long run.

Personally, I create things that are meaningful to me. I only know how to do four mediums and stippling is one of them. I also did a stippling drawing of me and Maddy (his sister), so I did one of me and him. As you can see I make things that mean a lot to me. In the piece that I created, it is one of me and one of my best friends from a very young age; for example, in this photo, we were first and second graders, and now we are a senior in high school and a freshman in college.

I created a piece using acrylic paint and I am naming it Destin, and it has probably been one of my most tedious drawings. The reason I created this piece was to go out of my comfort zone and try using paint as a new medium that I have never used. The reason I drew this photo was to draw things from my vacation that I went on in 2021. Being able to draw this to go with all of my other vacation photos made this piece an asset to everything else.

I created a piece using graphite and I am naming it “Day 1”, and it has probably been one of my more meaningful pieces. The reason I created this piece was because me and Keaton have been best friends since we were little, and we are having our graduation together and I wanted to use this picture to put up at the graduation. The reason I drew this photo was to draw things from my vacation that I went on in 2021. This drawing will be added to all of my other photos that I have drawn from vacation.
