2nd-4th Grade


Reading:

Students are learning reading decoding and fluency skills in order to support comprehension skills. Students are working on mastering letter identification, letter sounds, and blending sounds together in order to read text at each student's instructional reading level. We are working on vocabulary skills to support and increase meaning and understanding of words and concepts. Students are also working on speaking and listening skills within each lesson presented. Each student is currently working on their individual goals at their instructional levels. "Unique Learning" Curriculum which is a Standards Based Curriculum and 95% Reading Program is used to support reading instruction.

Writing:

Students are working on learning letter formation using correct sizing and spacing. Students are working on developing grammatically correct sentences using descriptive adjectives. Students are working on editing their writing for correct spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. Occupational Therapy goals are incorporated within writing instruction to support fine motor skills. Each student is currently working on their individual goals at their instructional levels. "Unique Learning" Curriculum which is a Standards Based Curriculum is used to support writing skills.

Math:

Students are working on mastering basic math skills in addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Students are learning time telling skills, money skills, measurement, and problem solving skills. Each student is currently working on their individual goals at their instructional levels. "Unique Learning" Curriculum which is a Standards Based Curriculum is used to support math skills.
