How To Get An Instrument:

1)      Buy A New Instrument- (Expensive) Please contact me if you are planning on buying an instrument.  I would want to help to make sure you get a quality instrument that will help your child succeed.

2)      Buy A Used Instrument- (Be Careful) Some instruments can cost hundreds to repair.  You can contact me with any questions.  If you already have an instrument, I would be happy to look it over to make sure it is in good working order.

3)      Rent An Instrument- (Recommended) These instruments are fully insured and most of what you pay is built up in equity towards a new instrument in the future.  Buying an instrument is a big investment and this is a good alternative to start with.

Choosing an Instrument:

STRINGS

Violin- The smallest and highest string instrument.  Mostly plays the melody and can play multiple strings at once.

Viola- Larger and lower than the violin, the viola plays the melody and harmony.

Cello- This lower instrument is played sitting down and plays in bass clef.  It is lower than the viola and higher than the bass.

Bass- The lowest string instrument is found in string ensembles and jazz bands.  This large instrument can be played by any size person.
