Biography

I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from Shadow Mountain High School in the Paradise Valley Unified School District. I then attended Arizona State University and received my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Organizational Communications, with a emphasis in Finance. After obtaining my Bachelor’s degree from the ASU West campus in 2004, I became a Corporate Trainer for a major Arizona employer. 

Even though corporate training was a fulfilling career, I decided to pursue my 30 year desire of going into teaching. In 2010, I received a degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Mathematics. This is my 13th year teaching at Sundown Mountain and 16th year in the district and I continue looking forward to new challenges and successes with our students here at Sundown Mountain. 

On a personal note, I have one beautiful daughter who graduated from Willow Canyon, two grandchildren, and two wonderful miniature schnauzers. I enjoy spending time with my grandkids, sports, outdoors, running, and dogs. I also volunteer as a foster parent for the Arizona Schnauzer Rescue.
