About Mrs. Seagroves

Hello DHS community! Here are some of the essential questions (and my responses) that I always want to know about teachers for my children:

  • How long have you been teaching? This is my 7th year teaching in Arizona.
  • What are your credentials? I have a BA in education from ASU (Fork 'Em Devils!) and an MEd from NAU.
  • How do I get in touch with you? The fastest way to contact me will be email, which is candace.seagroves@dysart.org, or through the Remind app @dhsmath12 for Algebra 1-2 OR @isdhsmath for iSchool.
  • What will my student need for this school year? We will be using a binder with dividers in class. Please replenish your student's supply of pencils and paper throughout the school year. They will need a way to color coordinate their notes (i.e. highlighters, colored pencils, colored pens). I always appreciate donations of Kleenex during the year as well. Students will be given a class information paper on the first day that will have all of the requested supplies specific to my class.
  • What will your class be like for my child? I am a firm believer in mutual respect. As high school students, we are preparing them for a successful future and that means teaching them both curriculum and responsibility. I have procedures for all students to succeed in my class. Those are available on the "Our Class" tab.
