About the Teacher

A Little Bit About Me...

I am excited to teach English 5/6 and AP Language & Composition this year at Shadow Ridge High School.  I hail from the great state of Michigan, where I completed my bachelor's (English) and master's degrees (Teaching and Curriculum) at Michigan State University (Go Green! Go White!).

After earning my bachelor's degree, I fulfilled my teaching credential requirements with a year-long internship at Leslie High School (Leslie, MI) and had the opportunity to teach at Asquith Boys High School in Australia (Asquith, NSW).

Returning from my trek down under, I moved to Arizona where I taught English 10, Pre-AP English 10, English 11, and Yearbook at Camp Verde High School.  While there, I was named Yavapai County's New Teacher of the Year and my yearbook staffs received Columbia Scholastic Press Association's Silver Medalist Certificate, National Scholastic Press Association's First Class Rating & Design Mark of Distinction, American Scholastic Press Association's First Place & Outstanding Theme Awards, and Walsworth Publishing Company's Gallery of Excellence & Superior Performance Awards.

I am excited to be here at Shadow Ridge High School for an eleventh year and look forward to a great year.

Best,

Mrs. Roberts
