Getting to school on time ensures that your child will not miss important announcements, instruction, or cause interruptions. Class begins at 8:15 am. Students may report directly to our classroom but should not be on campus earlier than 7:55. Students eating breakfast should report directly to the cafeteria and be to class by 8:15.
Dismissal
Students are regularly dismissed at 3:00 pm Tuesday through Friday and at 1:00 pm every Monday. Please do your best to refer to our school calendar and schedule doctor appointments accordingly. Pulling students out early can be just as disruptive as frequent tardiness. Thanks for your help with this.
Breakfast/Lunch
Students may pay for their breakfasts and/or lunches daily or in advance. A computerized system enables the cafeteria staff to keep track of charges. Meal prices are as follows: Students: $1.00 breakfast/$2.50 lunch Adults: $1.75 breakfast/$3.25 lunch
Snacks
Research has shown that students have a very hard time focusing on learning concepts while hungry. Fourth graders have an early lunch this year (10:35 – 11:10). Due to that fact, we will be taking short break during the afternoon to allow the students a restroom and nutrition break. We will also take this time to stretch our legs during this break. Please make sure that your child has a healthy snack and water bottle so they may enjoy this with their classmates.
Below you will find a list of some nutritious snack ideas for students to bring to school for their nutrition break. Teachers will not provide food for snacks, though classroom donations are welcome and encouraged. We also ask that students bring finger foods and not bring snacks that would require a utensil (spoon, fork, etc.). This will be a quick break and we don’t want to make messes outside.
Please remember that we are a nut-free classroom. This includes almonds, tree nuts, and peanut anything. Please be sure to check that granola bars and such are nut-free also. Thank you for your help in this matter. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

Parent-Teacher communication is so important to a child’s success in school. Your child will bring home a mid-term progress report every quarter briefly describing progress in their academics. Ongoing grades will also be available on the internet, and emails can be set up so that you receive these weekly. Information regarding how to do this will be sent home as soon as possible. We will also e-mail and send notes home whenever it is necessary.
