Ms. Denny’s Class Rules and Procedures
Course Rules and Expectations
Due to the interactive, hands-on nature of this course, it is vital that your absences are minimal. You will be expected to engage actively in class discussions as we explore the many topics of this course. Your presence and voice in our class will not only increase your ability to communicate your thoughts respectfully, but will allow you to hear others’ opinions as well. You will also need to work as teams on occasion, and your consistent presence will be essential for your team members. Your peers as well as your teacher will appreciate your reliability.
Grading
Homework will be assigned, and it is up to you to keep up with the work and research involved so that you will pass the assessments. Students will get immediate feedback as to their mastery of skills that are focused on during class periods. Students and parents will be able to track mastery by checking grades.
*Note: Students are expected to be prepared for class each day and assignments brought home, such as readings, unfinished work from class, etc., will be assessed as soon as possible. Failure to do homework may result in a struggle to stay caught up in class. You may also be unprepared to pass any test/quiz related to the homework.
