My favorite things are family, friends, teaching history, animals, traveling, music, history and riding motorcycles. I moved here from the Chicago area in 2014. I have degrees in history and secondary education from Loyola University Chicago, and a masters degree in curriculum and instruction from National Louis University. I have over a decade of teaching experience.
When I'm not in the classroom, you can probably find me spoiling my dogs, traveling to some place I've never been before, reading a history book, or riding my beautiful Harley (her name is Scarlet).
I absolutely cannot function without music in my life. I love music- rock, jazz, big band, blues, and classical- they all put me in my "happy place". You can bet that we will be listening to some music at various points during the week.
I almost never watch television or go to the movies because I'd rather be moving around, listening to music or reading.
I look forward to getting to know my students, and I am very excited to be at Dysart!
