Mrs. Munger's Short Bio

Dear Parents and Students,

This year will be an amazing year. My name is Chandra Munger and I have lived in AZ for 16 years. I am originally from Nebraska where most of my family lives. I am very family oriented and I visit often. I love hiking, walking my dogs and I have played multiple sports. As far as teaching, I worked in a couple of different daycares for multiple years. This is where I grew a love for children. I graduated from ASU West in 2006 and I have been teaching ever since.

This is my 12th year to teach. I taught 2nd grade for 9 years, 4th grade for 2 years and this is my third year teaching the 6th grade. That being said, the science standards have changed since last year and the previous years. Compared to previous years the state requires less standards but we will cover the standards more in dept. The school also adopted a science program online called Discovery. The students will use this a couple of times a week and they can work on it at home. I will be sending directions on how to use it.

In the previous section you will see a breakdown on what the year will look like at a glance. This can always change. I am a little bit old fashioned in the way I teach. I think I use technology daily but it is not my focus. Again, on the previous slide, you will see a quick rubric on how the year will run in a snapshot.
