Asheka Tenzin

Ms Asheka Tenzin, Academic Director of Ajeenkya D Y Patil International Schools, has 26 years of experience in teaching science at the secondary level. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Master's Degree in Microbiology. For the past 17 years, she has been teaching in schools that offer all three IB programmes. She is an IB Programme Leader for MYP Schools and evaluates schools for MYP Programmes. She is also a School Visiting Team Member for the IB Asia Pacific region, an Online workshop Facilitator and the MYP Network Chair for the South Asia MYP Coordinator Network (South).

Ms. Tenzin is a certified trainer and has completed a Certificate Course in Train the Trainer by Tata Institute of Social Sciences and the Cambridge PDQ Programme Leader Induction Course. 

Ms Tenzin believes that an outstanding teacher must display patience, manage the classroom effectively, communicate well, and be dedicated. She is open-minded, thoughtful and a lifelong learner. Above all, she endorses fairness and consistency.

Ms. Madhavi Nagviskar

Programme Leader of CICDT, HOD IGCSE Global Perspective, and Science Educator at D Y Patil International School, Nerul

With an impressive 17-year track record in teaching the International curriculum, Ms. Madhavi Nagviskar stands out as a highly experienced and dedicated educator. As the Programme Leader of CICDT and the Head of Department for IGCSE Global Perspectives, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic journey of her students at D Y Patil International School, Nerul.

Ms. Madhavi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Postgraduate Diploma in Instructional Design from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Education. Her commitment to professional growth is evident through her extensive certifications, including:

In addition to her teaching and leadership roles, Ms. Madhavi is the Professional Development In-Charge for middle school, where she ensures the continuous growth and development of her colleagues. She is also an active member of the D Y Professional Development Institute, where she co-facilitates the Train the Trainer course with Ms. Asheka. Moreover, she serves as a guest facilitator for the ECCEd programme, sharing her expertise and insights with aspiring educators.

Ms. Madhavi's educational philosophy is grounded in the belief in lifelong learning. She is passionate about fostering an environment where both students and educators can thrive, continuously seeking new knowledge and skills to enhance their teaching practices.

Ms. Neha Achhpal, Early Years Head at D Y Patil International School, brings 18 years of experience teaching the international curriculum with a strong focus on strategic curriculum design and implementation. Holding a diploma in Early Childhood care and Education, a Bachelor's Degree in Education, and a 'Train the Trainer' certification in education from D Y Patil Professional Development Institute, she is well-equipped to lead impactful Early Childhood Professional Development Programs at DYPIS. Ms. Neha is an experienced Reading Program facilitator, adept at innovative teaching through interactive stories and 21st-century learning engagements. As a passionate knowledge enthusiast dedicated to lifelong learning, her aim is to empower teachers through enriching workshops and foster continuous growth. 

Ms. Deanna Vincent, an experienced Early Years educator at D.Y. Patil International School, holds a Master of Arts in Education, a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Education degree, and a 'Train the Trainer' certification from D Y Patil Professional Development Institute. With 19 years of experience, she excels in organizing workshops and activities for teacher training, blending traditional and modern educational methods. Passionate about growth, she fosters inquiry-based and play-based learning, collaborating with peers to share insights and contribute to professional development.
