PROGRAMME LEADERS

Ms Asheka Tenzin, Academic Director of Ajeenkya D Y Patil International Schools, has 30 years of experience in teaching science at the secondary level. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Master's Degree in Microbiology. For the past 20 years, she has been teaching in schools that offer multi-IB programmes. She is an IB Programme and Evaluation Leader for MYP Schools and evaluates schools for MYP Programmes. She is also a School Visiting Team Member for the IB Asia Pacific region, an Online workshop Facilitator and the MYP Network Chair for the South Asia MYP Coordinator Network (South).

Ms. Tenzin is a certified trainer and has completed a Certificate Course in Train the Trainer by Tata Institute of Social Sciences and the Cambridge PDQ Programme Leader Induction Course. 

Ms Tenzin believes that an outstanding teacher must display patience, manage the classroom effectively, communicate well, and be dedicated. She is open-minded, thoughtful and a lifelong learner. Above all, she endorses fairness and consistency.

Avan Jesia is the author of Tower, a novel published in 2012 by Penguin India. She has an M.A. in Clinical Psychology, and has taught IB and IGCSE English language and literature at international schools in Mumbai for over twenty years.  

Ms. Madhavi Nagviskar is a seasoned educator with 17 years of experience in teaching the International Curriculum. She serves as the Programme Leader of CICDT and Head of Department for IGCSE Global Perspectives and Science at D Y Patil International School, Nerul. Additionally, she oversees professional development for middle school. Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Post Graduate Diploma in Instructional Design from Symbiosis Center for Distance Education, Ms. Madhavi is also a certified trainer, with credentials including Classcipe Trainer Certification, Certified Instructional Designer, and Certified Master Trainer from Middle Earth HR. A Cambridge Resource Trainer, she passionately advocates for lifelong learning.
