For more than 30 years, the School-to-Careers Program has provided dynamic portfolio of career development education designed to prepare students for the workforce and post-secondary opportunities.
Students engage in a combination of college & career development education, planning activities & experiential learning opportunities to develop the skills, mindsets & behaviors to be successful in college, work & life.
DYRHS has & will continue to provide high quality college & career readiness initiatives in alignment with our core values & the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education guidelines to prepare students for a successful transition after high school & workforce trends.
SCHOOL-TO-CAREERS PROGRAM GOALS & OBJECTIVES
Provide curriculum, resources and opportunities for students to explore career pathways
Facilitate college and career readiness workshops and classroom presentations to develop college and job readiness skills
Provide and expand internship opportunities through collaboration with local businesses and community partnerships
Connect students to jobs, training opportunities and Dual Enrollment programs and community/regional resources
Enhance our Innovation Pathways program, which expands career field exploration in the disciplines of Healthcare & Social Assistance
