SPANISH III is an advanced course for students who wish to continue their study of the language and who are willing to undertake an in-depth analysis of the language. A focus at this level is the ability for students to learn and use multiple verb tenses. The acquisition of verb tenses will advance the students' power to write with more variety and complexity. The knowledge of verb tenses also will empower students to read more difficult literature including poetry, short stories, and novelettes. To insure success in this course, students should have mastered grammar and vocabulary from the previous two courses and should be comfortable comprehending audiotape material and teacher-spoken instructions and explanations. Also, students should be enthusiastic about speaking and conversational skills.
